Working with The Smallpeice Trust, providing 'Think Kits' to secondary schools encouraging young people to get involved in STEM

29 April 2022

We are currently working with The Smallpeice Trust helping to provide innovative 'Think Kits' to secondary schools across the UK, encouraging young people to get involved in #STEM and consider this route as a potential career path.

We have recently received great feedback from the Manchester Academy school – a vibrant and inclusive school at the heart of Manchester which is just 3.5 miles from our Salford Quays location - after they received the Propelled Glider Kit.

The schools’ Science Department are planning an engineering project club to run over one half-term and expressed their delight with the attention to detail with every single piece of equipment included (even glue)!

Good luck Manchester Academy with your plans.

And if you haven’t heard of The Smallpeice Trust … they are an educational charity that inspires young people to pursue careers in science and engineering through events and workshops. For over 50 years, they have been dedicated to giving young people everything they need to fuel their passion for engineering and Quartzelec is delighted to be helping this year with the sponsorship of their Think Kits – putting students engineering skills to the test.
