Quartzelec takes total control of its Asean based operations and rebrands business as part of expansion

Having established a presence in the Asean region in 2012, with a jointly partnered engineering business that has facilities in Malaysia and the Philippines, Quartzelec - a leading independent engineering service provider with an ever-extending global reach - has from the start of 2021 acquired full control of the operations and commenced an ambitious expansion programme to meet growing local demand.
In 2012, when Quartzelec initially looked to expand into the Asia, specifically the South East, a local ‘partner’ was required to capitalise on business incentives, commercial registrations, and licences within Malaysia. Maser was identified as a good match, and the Maser and Quartzelec Service Sdn. Bhd. Joint venture was formed. Now with a growing customer portfolio and a solid reputation for delivering excellence, Quartzelec has acquired 100% of the Ordinary Shares and with immediate effect, rebranded the business: Quartzelec Sdn. Bhd.

Quartzelec’s (30,000sq/ft) workshop has been upgraded over this time with improved and higher capacity testing and equipment. Its workforce has also received extensive training in the areas of commercial, health and safety and quality. In addition to the IECEX and ISO9001 accreditations, the operations now meet the ISO 45001 standard, providing its client base with the added assurances of a global service provider.
