Great Customer Feedback for our M&E team

13 April 2022

Great to hear and share positive feedback when planned shutdowns … well go to plan!

As an embedded contractor for Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospital NHS Trust – our teams of engineers have continued to deliver a wide-reaching range of electrical infrastructure services on-site, in both a planned and reactive capacity.

The hospital’s Emergency Department was scheduled for necessary electrical infrastructure improvement works at the end of February ‘22 which involved an inordinate amount of careful planning to ensure services could be maintained and the department run as smoothly as possible during the late night electrical shutdown.

The Quartzelec scope covered the Acute Medical Decision Unit (AMDU), Emergency Department and the Paediatrics Department which was completed quickly and efficiently aided by a relatively low patient activity during the assigned time-frame, our teams were able to hugely improve on the planned timings, so much so, we managed to also complete two additional shutdowns to the Majors and Resus areas that had been planned for early March ’22.

A highly productive, well organised night of work which saw 6 scheduled and 2 unscheduled shutdowns successfully completed within a live A&E department.

Feedback from Vinci Construction UK an IHP the Healthcare Framework Partner along with the hospital trusts’ clinical departments was exemplary – praising our team approach and professionalism throughout.
