Electro Mechanical Engineer (Rail)
Due to new contract wins, we are looking to recruit an experienced Electro-mechanical Engineer to join our expanding Rail team in Sheffield. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, including all aspects of the inspection, repair, overhaul, and refurbishment of machines, which are often highly complex and integrate both mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience of working on machines for the rail industry would be an advantage.
You will be able to:
- Inpect and disassemble rotating machines
- bility to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
- Ability to produce job reports and inspection check sheets
- Undertake works to a high standard on a first-time fix basis where possible
- Submission of daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time
- Ensure exceptional levels of customer care
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be methodical and accurate and make notes and reports during the disassembly process
- Carry out basic electrical testing to establish machine condition
- Accurately assess and observe damage and wear on AC/DC electric motors and other machine
