Contracts Engineer - Building Services Maintenance


We are seeking talented, motivated individual to join our business, who can add real value in their area of expertise.

  

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

You will possess a passion for what you do, and have expertise in:-

  • Effective management of all operational requirements and programming to ensure best practice and continuity including responsibilty of operational resource levels
  • Be financially accountable for projects, manage operational workforce, including sub-contractors, ensuring that the work is adequately instructed and communicated
  • Produce and sign off NICEIC certification and other required test data following work undertaken by field operatives using the company’s chosen software
  • Provide quotations, estimates, purchase materials and provide technical assistance and support to colleagues in the preparation of quotes and tenders
  • Carry out inspection audits and visits, attend client meetings, ensure excellent customer services and achievement of KPI's including customer satisfaction, first time fix, productivity and financial targets
  • Develop relationships with new & existing clients to ensure repeated business
  • Manage health & Safety ensuring works are carried out safely and that reasonable and practical measures are taken to maintain the safety of all involved
  • Ensure compliance with all Company Policies. Particular attention is drawn to the requirement to manage operational delivery in accordance with the Companies Safety Rules
  • Assisting the Business Manager with any other duties as and when required

 

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Experience in leading teams 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a QS for NICEIC approved company
  • Full understanding of the inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken
  • Knowledge of all electrical systems in domestic and commercial settings
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of electrical installations and repairs, inspection and testing, emergency lighting and fire alarm service, maintenance, and installation
  • An extensive knowledge of the Electricity at Works Regulations, current edition of BS7671 and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken
