Electrical Supervisor


The Site Supervisor ensures that the target plan of the Contract(s) to which he / she is assigned are achieved by the effective management of all resources required to deliver the contract on time, to the quality standards and in budget.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

Reporting to a Contracts/Project Manager, but with significant on-site responsibilities, these opportunities will require you to be:

  • Make requisition for supply of all labour and material and plant equipment types required to meet contract programme / productivity targets
  • Competent to work directly from drawings and scopes of work
  • Experienced in commercial and industrial installations including, but not limited to the rail industry
  • Enthusiastic and knowledgeable in electrical Installation method
  • Willing to work away from home for periods (project dependent)
  • Keen to fulfil customer’s targets, involving overtime when required

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Demonstrable experience within the Electrical industry within a supervisory role in particular. Experience in the Rail sector would be beneficial but not essential
  • Time served electrical apprenticeshice
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • C&G 2391 Qualified (or current equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication, both verbal and written
  • Able to work under own initiative, as well as within teams
  • Testing and inspection to 18th Ed. BS7671 would be beneficial
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership approach to health, safety, and environmental obligations
  • SSSTS /SMSTS Required
  • Computer literate with daily use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience of electrical installations associated with the rail industry is advantageous but not essential.
