Product Manager


We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our QuartzTeq Business which is based in Switzerland. This exciting role can be based at our site in Aberdeen or Hybrid with our Switzerland business Unit.

  

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

The Product Manager will be responsible for the management of the product range throughout the Product Lifecycle and new product development, full training will be given for the following tasks and responsibilities: -

  • Identify market and key customers product requirements and coordinate with R&D and Production teams to ensure that these requirements are implemented in the products
  • Lead the process for future product development from early business case analyses to market launch activities
  • Work closely with R&D and Production teams in development of high-quality products (including software solutions), improvement of existing products and reducing cost through technology, production process and materials
  • Management of the entire product life cycle process and leading of the after-sales support activity
  • Manage the roadmap planning and strategic activities for the product range
  • Monitoring of competition, pricing, product positioning, sales targets and related profitability analyses in cooperation with the sales and marketing team
  • Management/overview of the production team performance and process of all products within the range
  • Management of the product technical documentation such build documentation, drawings, revisions, manuals, certificate, data sheets, ensuring data is accurate, archived and easily retrievable from the Quartzteq server

Be active in all industry standards and regulations that are related to the products and applications

 

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Desirable BSc or MSc in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Demonstrable product experience of condition monitoring. Design, service or commercial application of condition monitoring technologies (preferably partial discharge monitoring)
  • Ideally minimum 5 years of successful industry experience in Product Management or related role (such research or industrial manufacturing)
  • Solid technical background in Systems Engineering (Hardware/Software/Embedded Architectures)
  • Fluent in English - written and verbal is essential.
  • Proven expertise in Project management, Product life cycle management and industrial software development
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems and applications
  • Knowledge in assembly and mechanical construction of equipment, PCB design (FPGA / Microcontroller) as well as analogue and digital signal processing
  • Software skills: Altium Designer, C#, (C++ and microcontroller programming desirable), MS-Office, MS Project
  • Quality training, quality control and quality assurance
