Heritage buildings

Taking pride in helping preserve our national heritage, Quartzelec has built a strong reputation for winning and successfully delivering the electrical and mechanical installation elements on prestigious, high value conservation and heritage projects.

A positive approach and flexibility on-site has resulted in architects and main contractors coming repeatedly back to us to advise, quote and ultimately work on additional ‘heritage’ schemes.

Working hand-in-hand with the client ensures that projects that are undergoing extensive structural conservation whilst in continual daily use, and which result in considerable logistical implications, have become the norm to the Quartzelec team of M&E engineers working within this sector.

New technologies are increasingly being incorporated within many ‘heritage’ buildings, bringing with them their own challenges; the need to meet modern safety standards, focus on energy efficiency lighting or incorporate wireless technology. Fire alarms, building management systems and even CCTV all now have an important place in a ‘modern’ building.

Understanding and embracing these changes, while remaining sympathetic to the conservation requirements, is a vital part of our support offering.

Cathedrals, museums, historic Grade I listed buildings, re-generation schemes; all fall within our expanding portfolio of conservation and heritage projects. We are working hard to deliver M&E solutions for the modernisation and transformation of significant buildings for our collective future.
