Our full service in high voltage construction covers design (including feasibility studies), erection, testing and commissioning, both for new electrical installation and refurbishments up to and including 33kV. This also applies to switchgear and transformers as well as all ancilliary equipment through to complete substations.
We also support major high voltage underground cabling schemes up to 33kV incorporating excavation, cable laying, reinstatement and jointing. All with full project management and financial control.
Our expertise in the field of high voltage distribution networks also extends to the systems and equipment employed to protect them, providing complete reassurance of safety and integrity.

Our own Safety Rules
A conscientious contractor, Quartzelec has invested significantly in H&S, developing our own rigorous HV safety rules which have allowed us to introduce a safe system of working designed to protect our employees, our customers, their employees and assets from hazards arising from electro-mechanical systems. This fully integrated safe system of working enables Quartzelec to be designated as a HV Service Provider to customers owning HV apparatus and equipment and is adaptable to suit customers requirements whilst maintaining the H&S of all persons involved.
The asset owners responsibility
Whilst our HV Safety Rules ensure we work to the strictest safe practice codes, it remains the responsibility of the asset owner who has a legal obligation, to safely operate and maintain their HV distribution equipment.
