We are looking for an experienced Marine Electrician to join our expanding team in Aberdeen.
Reporting to the Marine Contract Engineer, this opportunity will require you to:
- Identify faults and implement cost effective solutions.
- Work to tight deadlines within a Marine environment.
- Provide engineering guidance to customers throughout the operating, service, repair and installation stages of equipment.
- Communicate positively with everyone involved, in order to complete the project on time and on budget, to the client's satisfaction.
- Support all of the company functions in supplying either knowledge or labour to satisfy a particular demand.

Site Supervisor (TATA - Port Talbot) >>
Location - Swansea

We are looking for a Site Supervisor to be based at the TATA Steel, Port Talbot site in South Wales.
Quartzelec has been supporting TATA with a range of repair, maintenance and support services for their fleet of rotating electrical machines (LV and HV) as well as the associated plant for number of years and we are now looking for a Site Supervisor to manage the current activity of rotating machine maintenance at the Port Talbot site.
You will liase daily with the team at TATA and take responsibility for co-ordinating all aspects of maintenance and repairs throughout the site.
You will be expected to manage the current team of fitters on site, to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality. You will therefore need a good understanding of all associated standards. You will also be required to produce all the necessary method statements and risk analysis as well as final reports to the client.

Winding Supervisor >>
Location - Swansea

We are looking for a Winding Supervisor to join our Swansea Workshop.
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, you will be required to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the busy AC/DC winding workshop. You will be expected to manage the current team of electrical winders to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality. You will therefore need a good understanding of all associated standards.
As part of running the workshop, your main areas of responsibility will require you to:
- Ensure customer motors are correctly inspected for defects
- Repair medium and high voltage AC windings
- Repair DC stator and armature windings
- Test motors for electrical and power standards
- Manoeuvre, install and terminate electrical plant.
- Repair and test of components, assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostic testing.
- Perform partial commissioning tests.
