Our Quality Management System is accredited by Lloyds to ISO9001:2008 and SIRA Certified to BS EN 13980, with individual divisions meeting or exceeding the requirements of relevant quality standards. Many of our workshop facilities are accredited as IECEx Service Centres involved in the repair, overhaul and modification of Ex equipment in accordance with Ex OD014 and Ex OD015 of the IECEx scheme.

Quartzelec follows the principles of OHSAS 18001, the international standard for Health and Safety. Endeavouring to, not only meet the legal requirements, but to set and follow best practice in occupational health and safety standards. This is achieved by compliance with our own extensive Health and Safety Procedures and standards.
All employees are selected and trained to ensure they have the appropriate levels of competence and authorisation, to not only complete their tasks to a high level of quality, but to ensure it is carried out safely as well. Managers recognise the importance of risk assessment and implementing safe working procedures at all stages of a project.
It is our philosophy that health and safety is everyone’s responsibility and we actively encourage worker involvement at all levels to help drive forward the H&S message. We believe that all accidents and incidents are preventable and no accidents are acceptable.
Quartzelec are committed to being an environmentally aware and responsible company, considering the effect our processes have on the communities we operate in and the planet as a whole. We support and encourage a sustainable use of natural resources, through product and process design, material selection and waste management.
Quartzelec operate a responsible procurement policy and will consider the environmental impact and performance of our suppliers and resources, before appointing a service provider or purchasing a new product. Where possible, we will also provide our customer with energy efficient advice and solutions, thereby assisting them to reduce their own environmental impact and carbon footprint.
It is our aim to adhere to the ethics of ISO 14001, not only meeting our legal obligation but where possible identifying ways of improving our environmental performance and raising standards both in our own facilities and the sites where we operate. We work proactively to ensure our facilities and processes have carbon reduction, waste minimisation and pollution prevention designed in.
